Who We Are

The Southold School Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization created to support the Southold School community in a variety of ways.  Our overall mission is to provide an avenue for funding innovative ideas that will enrich the education of our students as well as bring our parents, students, alumni, and town citizens together as one community supporting Southold School District.  

How Will We Accomplish Our Goals?

We intend to use a two-prong approach:

1. Foundation Initiated Activities

The Board of Directors will spearhead fundraising programs to raise funds and develop a General Fund 

Teacher Grants
All teachers will be given the opportunity to submit proposals for grant money to implement enrichment activities for students in the district.  The foundation will utilize General Funds to support a number of these grants per school year.  

Community Building
We will create a networking database of alumni, local businesses and individuals interested in sharing resources to support the mission of the foundation.

2. Community Initiated Activities 

The Board of Directors will review requests from the extended community to partner together to implement a specific project that will further the goals of the foundation.
